simex centipedes m/t goodyear mtr's

wat do u guys think about the simex centipedes m/t and goodyear wrangler mt/r.wat kind of km's wld i get out of both with a reasonable amount of highway driving aswell

simex are light years ahead of MTR's offroad but they will wear quick onroad thats the only problem best bet is to run simex for offroad and rotate with some cheep road tyres

I think he means Simex muddies, not ET's etc. I wouldn't think the Centipede MT's are lightyears ahead of MT/R's.......

Yeah he doesnt mean the ET. I would say the MTRs, but i have never run or seen the simex's.

I know of one person running them. They seem ok, the best part is the price, which isn't much. Though I think they only come in 31's.......

MTRS are crap in mud.. the simex MT's would be better than them.. dunno wat they wear like tho...

I run the Simex's & love em. Done about 25,000 km on then and have worn 3-5mm, from 14mm depth when new, with just a bit of feathering on the front shoulders ( I take corners too fast). Quite satisfactory on road, but I have to run em at 36-40psi, so they don't flop around on the sidewall. Good wet road performance, but I admit an MT/R is better in this respect.

Honestly, I go anywgere a standard muddie will go, and further. Gone further than MT/R's & BFG's on identical trucks (Surfs). Clean pretty well in mud & clay, grip well on rock (busted front diff to prove it ) and pretty tough construction in tread section. I staked a sidewall, but only after driving over a sharp stump. For $165 a corner (dirt cheap I reckon) you can't go wrong.....

I have only seen them in a 33 run on a patrol trayback, seem to have a weak sidewall, seen him do to of them, and they are not very good on rock.....MTRs are much better in that domain, but in the mud they are as good as any other with tha kind of tread patern. Mind you I have now done the side wall on an MTR twice

The Simex Centpede M/T's only come in 31x10.5's so not sure what you saw in a 33". I have these on mine at the moment and find them a good tyre for the money. Compared to a MTR they don't have any side lugging but the voids are little more open so they clear the mud better. They are are not wearing much at all but then again they are only on a lwb Vitara. They are quite OK on the road too but then again I haven't had MTR's to compare.

I'm running Simex M/T's at the moment, so far about 70% tread left after 30 000km, 90% hwy:10% dirt on a 1.6 tonne vehicle. Only come in 31 x 10.5 R 15. Reasonably good in mud when aired down to 16 psi, only been lacking power not traction. Only lost one bead, no sidewall damage, no punctures to date.

I'm using them. No problems... In my case maybe they wear faster than usual coz i've a heavy right foot in a detroit equiped car plus i love to fly round corners in a tippy, missabliged, worn out bushed Rocky.
No problems in the torrential rain we get here in Malaysia, just that they suck during the bead in period.
No qualms with me doing 140kph flat out though in the dry.

I run Simex M/T on my Wrangler and love them! Done over 25000 kms and still plenty of tread. Can be noisy on blacktop, but the Wrangler is anyway, so who cares? Surprised me with the traction on wet bitumen as well.

I run 28 psi on road, drop to 22 in mud/rocks, less on sand and never had a problem with sidewalls or rolling off rim.

For the price, I say unbeatable!

The MTR's are really quiet on road...kind of dissapointed me because i love the sound of muddies

I run my 37's at 8-9psi offroad and havnt had a problem with the bead yet, I thik the 15x8 rims hold them superbly.
