Fog Lights - H11 globes

Post by gu4800 »

I bought some factory fog lights for my road car (I know, it's not my 4x4 but it already has LF 240 Blitz) and I am after some advice from a sparky.

The lights run H11 globes, and after I pulled all the inner parts out from behind my bumper I was a little disappointed not to find the factory wiring just sitting there! It is for everything else - pre-wired for phone, bluetooth, CD changer, electric seats, etc, etc BUT NOT THE BLOODY FOG LIGHTS!!!!

Anyway, not knowing anything about H11 bulbs, I have some questions:

1) do these just run straight off 12V, or do they need some sort of ballast or something?

2) Does Narva (or anyone else) sell a fitting that will connect up to the standard base of the H11 globe?

I really don't want to have buy the factory wiring harness for the lights - big $$$$.

Any other advice appreciated.

Here is a pic of the globe:

its hard to see the terminal because that pic is poor quality, but check this site out and you may have a better chance at matching it.....
