What would cause holes in block?

Post by stewie81 »

Hey,
A mate with as 94 GQ TB42 injected. was coming home tonight only 2 cars ahead of me and Engine starts to run rough..
on closer inspection it has 2 rather Big holes in block.. One either side..

What could cause this...
We Know it can't be fixed just wondering what happened..

Only prob with it recently was a month back at L.C.M.P he took it in the PIG pen and sunk (see photo) not deep but speed.. :(
Drained engine of water and got it running then full service..

Then one month later this..

Any Ideas..
Stewie..

Hey bogged.

Um from what we can see in the dark with torch nothing hanging out..
the holes are near the oil filter a bit lower and forward(hope that makes sence) on the drivers side and same spot on other side..

The car still runs Runs just noisy and holy....

Cheers

you've shot a rod out the side of the block ... you would have got water in the engine while in the pen ... and slightly bent it .. and its just decided to give way

You were out there the weekend before Mud Bulls?

Were you camping at Cowah falls with another white GQ?

If so, I was the bloke with the Maroon GQ who was camped just near you and there was a Silver/Gold Jackeroo there with me also.

I saw a few blokes go through the pig pen that weekend.

I've learnt my lesson and go no where near water or mud unless I really need to.

Ha ha

Good luck fellas!
