Damn guess what,
today's trip ended in both my rear shocks mount ripped.
So now i'm running with no shocks in the rear which makes driviing damn interesting.
Anyway i need a solution to this.
Currently the original shock mounts have been relocated lower.
But i suspect the shocks are pretty short. So what should i do now as i still intend to use the current shocks but was wondering if its worth relocating the shock mounting even lower or do what the Hilux guys do?

My RIG sucks big time.
I never did like the stock rear lower shock mounts. They hang down too far and get snagged. I had my old shocks (BlackDiamond) angled at the top and you do get more travel. Having them angled as much as I did there is very little dampening and more body roll. I have since spaced the tops at about 14 inches and I am very happy with the rear suspension.

So u're trying to say the more "/\" like the 1st pics the less dampening effect and u'll feel the rear " roll" more? I dont understand how by changing the angle the damping effect can change. How about retaining the original position but relocate the mounting up higher?
Hey was thinking of swapping the axles to Hilux on mine but how is it possible to do so while retaining the current gearbox and TC? Plus the original Rocky is slighty offset. If i was to directly fit them wont i get driveline issues?
Sigh my car is such and udder performer... Cant keep up with the big boys on 35inch.

I have seen Ford nine inch axles cut for all kinds of purposes....see pic of RockWare's rear axle. The Ford nine inch has a removable third member like Daihatsu and Toyota. They are easy to cut and respline.
