Post by Turbo Tonka »

hey, thinking of extending the shackles on my 94 dual cab lux. i know the rears can be made at home, but its probably best to buy the fronts. would i be able to get some reccomendations on what brand, what else needs doing?//?? also would i need spring wedges or not, some people have said yes, others no. i would also like to end up with 2 inch lift springs. thanks....

to get 2 inches of lift from shackles, you'll need about 4 inch longer shackles... too long in my opinion.

go for about 1 inch (2 inches longer than stock shackles)

as for castor (spring) wedges, i suggest you do. bad castor will make your rig handle like a pig.

oh and extended shackles are illegal ;) just so as you know
