Show us a pic of the side gear in it! (where the axle pokes into the side) That will give us a better idea.

I am guessing a factory locker of some description. Maybe a Rover, Maxi-Drive. Would be my best guess at the moment.

looks a lot like a suzuki vitara housing to me..

dunno bout the locker though.

Yep, Been identified as Vitara diffs. I have a front and a rear unit. Now what to do with them :?: :?

I never knew that a vitara ever had a factory locker.
Is it a vacume locker?

There was some european early model sammi's (sierras) that came with a factoy locker, but i dont know about the vitara....it may be some import job perhaps

Yep, Europe is my guess and there vacuum operated.

Still thinking about keeping them and buying a Vitara.

neither did I, I was trying to think of brands of factory locker:
Toyo electric, and then thought.... nah...too small
Then I thought GQ/Mav front.... too small again, and fronts weren't AU.
I was left with nuthin....
