drivers side noise
The wheel on the drivers side of my sierra is making a lot of noises.. when 4wding you can hear a lot of squeaks..
When on the open road u hear a humming noise and a irratic squeaking noise
What could be wrong with it? It is getting worse and worse :|
cheers

Re: drivers side noise
first of all when you start hearing noises like that don't keep driving it, try and get it sorted as soon as you can. Check your wheel bearings as said, could be a combination of lose bearing and mud/water and crud in their. You may also want to check your brakes to ensure they haven't fouled etc.Crawford wrote:The wheel on the drivers side of my sierra is making a lot of noises.. when 4wding you can hear a lot of squeaks..

If you don't feel you are mechanically minded then make sure you have a mechanic you trust and keep and eye and ear out for any changes in the way car is performing. Ideally over time you will be able to identify what is happening sooner rather than later
Ransom note = demand + collage
are you positive its the wheel and not the leaf paks or any steering/susp. componants making the noise? maybe mixed with a wheel balance - alignment issue??
If you're going wheeling its always a good idea to learn a bit about ya 4wd, it can save alot of heartache if ya get stuck... find out what/where the noise is, go buy a manual grab a mate that knows a lil more than you a slab of ya fav beverage and have a crack!
