Bushwacker flares and tyres.

Post by mooks100 »

HI all
I have two questions.

1) Will 33x12.5 tyres on 15x8" f100 rims with a -20 offsett fit under my 6" flares. I mean, will the tyres be completely covered. I have a WT Sierra.

2) I have narrowed my tyre choice down to two. TSL redials or radial claws, both 33x12.5x15. I'm only going to run one set. Have heard good things about both. It will be a daily driver. Any thought on the way to go?

Thanks

but just remember its not bolting onto the original flare, its just the 6inch flare straight onto the body, my guess it wouldnt cover it, but you never know.

i removed my origional plastic flare and installed 2 inch wide rubber flares. these cover my 31x10.5x15's Simex ET's with a -15 offset, since you are only going 2 inches wider in tyre size and 4 inches wider in flare size i am pretty sure that they will cover.

Cheers
Simon..
Hookers are like bowling balls, You pick them up, put your fingers in them, then throw them in the gutter and they come back for more.

The first pic is the simex with the origional flare and the second is the new home made rubber flare.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Hopefully I'll get my car back on friday.I'll take a bunch of pics and post them up.

Simon, thanks for the pics. The thing i'm concerned about is that my diffs are the WT diffs and are 4" wider than NT diffs. Fingers crossed the flares will cover.

Cheers

Wot he said.
But my current "flares" are 6" lawn edging they cover my 31x12.5 boggers on F100 8"rims with an additional 1" custom offset on NT axles with enough room for when i get round to doin the WT axles so I'm countin on my bushwackers bein the same.

If it's already been thought of...

I have the bushwacker flares with 15x8 wheels and 33x12.5 tyres and the flares sit flush with the outside edge of the tyres.
