1982 Hilux Need Opinions

Post by projectaero »

Hello hows it going.

I sold a vn commore 5l "project car" what needed work. Now i didnt have the time nor the money to do this so i put my car on the internet for $4000 ono.

Now i sold the car for a 1982 Toyota Hilux in which i need to pick up in a week from now.

Now i know its stupid to buy a car without actually trying it but my vn which i had needed work and i wouldnd get over $2000 for it. So i bought this and yer i need opinions.

Here are the specs in which the guy i bought it from has told me.

1982 Hilux 4x4

Single Cab

Rebuilt 308 4.9L instead of the 2.2 i think it is and its been bored out 40 thou"

It runs on Unleaded.

Lift Kit

Landcruiser Diffs

Dual Batteries

Recaro Bucket Seats

Steel Tray with no rust

Toolboxes for under the tray

Bullbar and side steps

Heavy duty synchros in the gearbox

Holley car - Think its a Holley 650

Twin Thermos

Cream Colored Paint

Towbar

Clutch Fan switch i think thats correct

Water tank underath the 4wd

No cracks in the chassis

Suspension is heavy duty malee bull shocks

He has the sides for it which he is including

Small crack in the dash

He is throwing in 4 wheels with it and 1 sunraysia wheel as he had it with it and the bench seat which is in it at the moment. Also he is throwing in the Ladder rack thing with it too and a spare exhaust manifolds, .

Reason he is selling is because he just bought a motorbike and wants a project car he doesnt need it anymore.

Here are the pictures of the car for you to look at.

Mmmm, no sign of a blue plate in the engine bay for the motor conversion.

Landcruiser diffs? Rear diff looks like a standard semi floating diff to me - no outer hub to indicate a full floating rear diff.

Current rego sticker?

blue plate is the plate saying that the engine conversion has been certified (engineered) if the car doesnt have one u would need to get all the mods engineered before it would pass a road worthy

I wouldnt know where to look for the Lift Kit, but he said its on there as the suspension is high or something like that from the wheels.
