fitting aftermarket seats

Post by uninformed »

hey all, my mate has an 2002 single cab 4x4 and has bought some seats for it.

they are: Auto tecnica "monza's" model sp6lg

he wants to keep the original seats, rails etc so he can put them back in when he sells.

does anyone make a kit to mount these seats to the toy base.

cheers, serg

ps i don't know shit about lux's

best place to start would be with the seat retailer or importer. if they turn up a blank then it's custom all the way - custom seat brackets aren't difficult, jut time consuming, and of course you need welding skillz.

start with getting the vehicle LEVEL, especially side/side, then work from there - with the help of an assistant hang the seat in position and start measuring for your brackets. some trial and error is normally involved.

Auto Tecnica do a mounting kit through Repco I think. Though mine bolted stright on to the old mounts  but if I recall correctly I was offered a mounting kit. Of course you have to buy it as an extra :bad-words: they don't sell them with the seat as they should.
