When did the last GQ SWB`s come out

Post by Bentzook »

When did the last GQ SWB`s come out ?

I was looking at buying one. Im looking at a `94 Ti auto, electric everything, side turn lamps, green over champaine, less than 100k/kms, stock standard, wants $16k. Is that too much?

I think 1994 but might have been 1995. Regardless 1994 is one of the last Aussie Spec ones if it is.

Even GU are made SWB but they dont import them.

Yeah there were Ti shorties.

Ti basically equals Maverick XLT anyway, give or take.

Mate had a 1993 Maverick XLT SWB in black.

Redbook says 1994 for maverick and 1995 for patrol SWB's. But no Ti 2 Doors - you need a Maverick XLT instead.

From memory, Mavericks never came out with EFI in Shorties, where the Patrols from memory did, big better on fuel they would be

XLT in the Maverick was the same as a Ti except i don't think XLT had the woodgrain interior, they did come witht he TI rear Locker in some of them. All i know is if it looks like a patrol and runs on patrol gear, its a patrol.

The price difference NSW to QLD is insane.

Chimpboy flew to Sydney to buy his since it was about $3k or so cheaper than the same vehicle in Brissy.

In Sydney they're not hairdresser enough but in Brissy people want a real man's car.

I own a 1997 GQ shorty and I beleive that was the last year of them. Some of my parts are heavier/stronger than a lot of other earlier shorties I have seen
