BJ74 / 13B-T questions

Post by turbo4t »

It might seem strange but what colour paint does the 13B-T come from the factory?. I just bought one and trying to figure out if it has been rebuilt. It's red but never seen a Toyo diesel engine painted the same coulour.

Also, does anyone know if the 3B starter will fit a 13B-T?. They appear to be mounted 180 degrees different so I assume not. Thanks.

I believe the earlier blocks are red. Does it have an inline fuel pump? The later ones are blue with rotary pumps.

The 13BT starter is rotated compared to the earlier (85 and older) starter as do the later 3B starters.
