sigma head on ebay

Post by dan75 »

hi everbody, i have found on ebay, a brand new head for a sigma 2.6, 4g54. the guy selling it tells me that it will fit a sigma, but not the pajero 4g54 engine. are the heads on sigmas and pajeros different? i was under impression they are the same. thanks in advance for your help.
cheers
Dan.

Might fit. Different coolant passages between head and block but gasket might make them incidental. May be other differences but can't remember.
The last of the Sigmas (GH??) might fit but pay to compare side by side first.

Photograph the bottom face that mates with the head gasket.

It looks like the right one. I contemplated a head of a sigma once but it must of been a lot earlier and was all open between the water ports around the combustion chambers.

thanks guys, the head has been on ebay for a few weeks now, nobody bought it last time, and they only wanted $150 for a brand new head. might be worth getting even if it doesnt fit.
