First question is why didn't you just buy one with all those options in the first place?
P/steering and aircon shoudln't be too dificult at all if you're half competent with your hands. Prolly best place to get everything would be off a wrecked vehicle, so OE Suzuki stuff should just bolt straight in.
Sound....do wanna wheel it or pimp it/mall cruise?
Lift kits, etc. LOOK IN THE BIBLE, there's heaps of info in there. Much cheaper if you check out what Sikid_01 has done in the way of coils, etc. Save heaps there and get some decent shocks.

you say a 98 model vitara, is it a JX model? is it EFi or Carby?
and again, are you going to wheel this vitara off road? or are you just going to cruise town?
is the lift you want purely cosmetic? or do you want it to actually work?
aircon: you need compressor and all the piping and so on unless all the gear is there already? i'm not too sure with air cons and vits.
power steering: you need to get a pump, a power steer box, and the res for the power steer fluid. i have seen a complete system go for as little as $250, and up to $560 for all the same gear.
how cheap did you get your 98 model for? (if you dont mind me asking?) cos then maybe you can look for a JLX model with all the stuff you want but with a blown motor, and just do an engine swap.
as for the ICE, i have 6" speakers in the doors, and 6"x9"s in the back panels. all my panels are BLING checker plate anyway, so thats good enough. if the original door trims are still good, then you can get some door pods for the 6" speakers. i dont have subs, cos i have no room, and i have a soft top, and my vit is constantly submerged in water.
power windows? is it really that hard just to wind them down?
aircon and power steer will use up a little bit of the engines output, but zooks aren't power house speed machines anyway.

i think king springs do a 2" lifted coil for a vitara, i think it might be about $150/pair, so about $300 you might be able toget some lifted coils.
$400+fitting for air con is a bit too much for me, but i'm tight. depends on if you really need it or not.
power steering, well, usually it would be better buying everything off one car/person, but if you can find a power steer box for cheap get it, and then look around for the lines and res.
i'm not familiar with 96+ model vits, so i cant say whether older model gear will bolt staright up. ie. power steering box.
can you post a pic of you car too? pics are always good.

yeah, looks to be in very good condition especially if it has only 100,000 KMs. which is the opposite to mine.
as for the money you paid, i would of said it was a bit much for a vitara, but hey, you got a clean car, low Ks, and EFI, so i wouldnt be complaining.

as for speakers int he dash, i didnt bother. i ripped the old ones out, but they were still good, clarions i think (and factory?)
you can fit a 4" in factory position, but i didnt think i would be able to hear them, or i think they wouldn't have been loud enough over all the noises my vit makes. i didnt bother with the dash speaker, and plus, it gives good access holes to up under the dash.
power steering? i have a 12" steering wheel, with 31" pedes, i got no problems.... most of the time. just dont air the pedes down past 10psi.
and biggest tyres are about a 235/75R15 on stock rims. i had a bit of rubbing on full lock right, where the back of the front right tyre would touch the chassis. i think you should be ok with a 235 on a 15x7 rim.
