Steering Idler

Post by HotFourOk »

Hey people...

Im having a bit of strife with my steering idler... I replaced it a month ago with a genuine part and it is flogged out again...
I haven't even been wheeling since I have had it done!

Does anyone with Rocky's have this problem.. i know Feroza's have issues but you can buy idler bushes whereas there is none available for the Rocky. :?
What could be the cause of this? Wheel misalignment? Ball end joints stuffed? Suspension rubbers/bushes flogged?
How long do they usually last?

I'm up for the same $200 part again within a month...
Cheers, Nick.

Also in general tech

Yep, common prob with Ferozas with wound up torsion bars. I'm sure one of the fellas will post details of where you can buy polyurethane(sp?) bushes.

I bought my new bushes 2nd hand from Leon for, I think, $20. Have had no further probs since......about 3 years ago now 8-)
