Spam Warning.

Post by Zute »

Since joining this forum (Zukikrawlers) Ive been copping a lot of spam email. Come in the form of "Offroad tec" type emails. Ive never replied to any of them, so I don't know what will happen if you do.

Ok. Its coming from yahoogroups.com, but it didnt start untill I joined zukikrawlars. I am a member of some yahoo forums so that maybe the link.
At the bottom of the email it has an address to click on to unsubsribe. But Im worried that if I do I maybe opening up myself to spyware.
What do you think.

There may be laws but most dont obey them.

Just be careful, a lot of these unsubscribe links just tell the spam sender that youre address is valid and they send more/sell you to other lists.

Does your email addy have a "junk mail" option ?

When you get mail from them, send it to 'junk' and it should recognise it as junk in the future

yahoo groups don't spam you, part of their agreement, but dont stop people from posing as them, so you click on something you think is safe.

I recently joined Zuki crawlers and got spammed , too, but it did say it was from them...But it also stopped pretty qick.

never clik unsubcribes, just ignore senders, like was said, that can confirm you.
