Difference between 1lt maruti T/F case and 1lt Sierra T/F???

Post by 84ZOOKSTA »

What is the difference????? Is the gear ratios different in the Maruti????

I hear people talking about that they have a Maruti engine, Transfer case Etc.

I have done a search and it showed me no results. If anyone can get the search working please forward me the links of the pages found.

Cheers

The Maruti's have a 1.3L case with 1L gears in it, and with maruti's being WT they come with WT flanges on the case.
So basically the gearing is the same as 1L NT but case is different.

Isn't the late 83-84 1L case the same as the 1.3 ones? as externally they look the same.

Yes. but I think its only the 84 case, and there were some cases made in 84 that were different also.

Your transfer is identicle to the WT one, except for the flanges.
