are towbars reasonably generic across hiluxes I had an argument with the one on my 87 4runner... there was swearing and grinding... no sense pointing fingers but one of us ended up in 3 pieces on the driveway
I'm just wondering if I can pick up an old one off any 80's hilux and it'll fit or if they're pretty specific
I'm considering having mine welded back up professionally (its only 2 cuts and they're pretty clean) too. Trying to find out if that's a safe option for a towbar though
If I can just go and pay someone $50 for their old towbar that'd be easy though

towbar
Save the "What If" (What if your towing down the highway and the welds break) factor and buy a Hayman Reese second hand for about $50 - $100
Kind Regards,

Re: towbar
my thoughts exactly... I've asked around a bit but 'she'll be right' doesn't really cut it when towing a trailer huhLuxyBoy wrote:Save the "What If" (What if your towing down the highway and the welds break) factor and buy a Hayman Reese second hand for about $50 - $100
