4.90 part number difference?

Ok i was looking at swaping the 4.90's out of a challenger into the NM but when i looked up the challenger we have in caps it shows part number MR296348 for the rear and the part number that the NMs that have 4.90's stock is MR124858 Whats the difference can I still use them is it just a old number??

Patrick the IRS rear diff centre is different to the live axle versions.
You cannot interchange the rear C&P between the two.
The 8" front is ok but not the rear.

Not quite true
MR124858 is used on IRS and 3.5L Sport with Hybrid LSD, well and on 2.8L TD Gen 2
while MR296348 is used on 3.0L Sport.
Different drive-train.

Yep your right alex according to the mits caps program the r&p is the same IRS and live axle gen 2.
