What carbie is best?
What carbie is best?
I know this has been gone over many times but the searches all seem to be about webers. My 1.3 for some reason only known to the previous prevoius owner has put a Charade carb on it. Any ideas on a good carbie setup. I use the ute for mainly farm stuff and cruising.
Cheers,
Andrew

Would not have a clue. best to talk to the weber gods. built4thrashing and others. I believe the ones from the escorts and similar are the ones to use.

Nicbeer said a carbie of a 4k corrola motor would fit on the a zook but do these bolt up pretty easy or is there a few adjustments/mods you need to carry out.Reason Im asking as mates zook has no choke function and it has been a PIA to get the choke plate to move to give choke for cold starts. Its as if ahose is in the wrong spot but we checked that out but still nuthin.
Any info would help.

KE30 carb also fits, you just need the plastic spacer and a few bits from the corolla.

After susin out carbies and i run a weber, the best carb to find for the zuks for offroad needs to be one with the fuel bowl on the side of the carb. Yes of course it will stall on drastic side angles but i can assure u that many of us will agree that the up/down angles we attack are far greater than the side angles. Still reckon sidedraught would be the best as the bowl is under the carb.
I got the toy carb on mine. does well.
Eff- the zook carb may be the best but they are a pain to rebuild and have the water choke that never works properly, and causes plenty of issues
cheers

The first time i had my car out i did alot of rutted stuff and really bounced around. On the way home the suzi was spiting and farting and had to slip the clutch to get going again. Turned out the carbie was blocked and the guy over the road just put his hand over the top and revved the crap out of it. His hand was coverd in crap and its been great ever sence.
