installing a stereo in a GQ

Post by Tayls »

hey all
just brought a GQ still with the original stereo in it... just wondering what all you's have done with the extra space that ill get from installing a stereo that is half the size?
i was thinking another storage slot would be good, but cant find anyone who supplies an after market kit to suit. Any names, sites or ideas would be great...

cheers
Daniel

Mate why dont you just buy a double din stereo, or if you just buy the single din one you can buy the storage spacers for the other din position have a look at the auto places like auto barn and strathfield they should stock them.

Any car accessories place will sell a DIN sized storage tray, with or without little plastic drawers. Supercheap, Autobarn, Repco...
This is not legal advice.

My GQ had a pocket under the single din stereo.

I just put a CD player in mine

Wreckers might have the pocket. I think they may be cheaper than a UHF
