Will a 80 series diff fit on a 1990 4runner??

I'm planning to do a IFS-SAS conversion, will a 80 series diff fit under a 1990 4runner front and rear?

I'm planning to get rid of the IFS and put coils under the front and put diff locks front and rear in.

Does anyone know how long a 80 series diff??

Any help would be good.

sharpy that will give u like an extra 200mm, if u want to keep it fairly the same, go a bundera front diff, thats what most of the surf boys are doing.

Bundera has same track as solid axle hilux, which is 3in narrower than ur IFS track. Whereas 80 series would be at least a couple of inches wider, but none of the links or coil mounts line up, front or rear. The rear diff also has offset centre.

Bundera front would be the easier option by far, but check out 78 series Cruiser front diff- they wouldn't be cheap but would be very close match to ur rear for width (they are bit narrower than 80) and also have bigger CV's than bundy. 80UTE has done this conversion I think.

cruiser rear you would prolly have to move the fuel tank out of the way and get a custom that hangs behinde the diff

This is true and i used all the 78 series chassis brakets on a 2000 lux and it looked factory when finished, i used the 78 housing and all suspension brackets and fitted 80 series swivels, hubs, brakes etc as 78's are 5 stud and thats no good on 6 stud vehicles.
