Thinking about putting a "universal" steering dampner on my Paj to stop the steering wheel knocking around on rough surfaces. Who is running one and did it seem to solve this issue? Does anyone have a part number of one they used? Can you buy a Universal one in a kit or do you use one from another vehicle and make it fit?
I fitted one from a late 90's Hilux and it works a treat on rutted up hill tracks. Just made up my own drag link bracket and bolted the other end to the existing mount. Three years so far and no dramas.
Been a bit busy today and it completely slipped my mind. The wifes been in the house painting up a storm and I,ve been getting ready to pour my slab for my new 12x11x3 metre shed. Can't wait to get it up!!!
Thanks Greggo, Kind of get the idea. To be honest, i've been slack and havn't even poked my head under to suss out what to do. You definately noticed a difference when off the black stuff tho?
I noticed enough difference to keep the wife happy anyway. She doesn't do a lot of wheeling but now it behaves better off road, she's a lot keener to have a drive now and then.
