GQ Alternator
GQ Alternator
as i currently believe standard they are about 55 amps,
i would like to find out what the max is you can get them rewound to as i have a shortage of power.
in the car i have Duel batteries
MP3 player, Amp, upgraded head lights 90/130, 4 130W spotties, winch, UHF and am radios, fridge, 3 cig outlets, ARB comp, 70W reverse lights, going to have camp light,
and with all thatight i think i better get a fire extiguisher.
so should i get the standard rewound or get a second alternator?

PatrolNut had a 120 amp Bosch alt that he bought brand new fitted to his Patrol...never had a problem with it.

That's cool, I can't talk from personal experience. My old motor only had a 60 amp job, and I don't have the new engine, with bigger alt, up and running yet
