Strong gearbox

Post by Rangie Thing »

Hi to all, just woundering is there a stronger gearbox for the feroza's. I think it's about a 89.
As a mate of mine is looking for his third or forth box.
has anybody fitted a diesel rocky box to a feroza or tryed?
any help on this matter would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hi

Not sure if the box from the Rocky will even fit however if it does the first thing you might have to think about is the gearing situation. Gear ratios for diesel and petrol engines are a lot different. Might want to do some research on a rebuild and correct maintenance of the original box, from what I have heard the Feroza running gear is quite good when maintained well. i.e. regular oil changes.

Good Luck.

Cheers

The first box was rebuilt with a second hand fith gear, the next box was a complete rebuild and also the next one was rebuilt. the first box went bang in warranty but the company went under and all the others lasted past the warranty time.

Obviously a slow learner then! :D

Something like Redline Shockproof Lightweight Gear Oil might help prolong the life of the next "lamb to the slaughter"?
