just a tip with intercoolers

whan you do the plumbing on your intercooler bigger is NOT better
it is very important to keep up your gas speed you dont want volume

rule of thumb
keep the outlet size rom the turbo the same size as the pipe
keep the inlet size the same size as the throttle body inlet

buy doing this you wont get excesive lagg

you dont want the turbo to have to fill a massive area before it gets to the throttle body

Gday Ross, thanks for the info,

I'm running a 600hp PWR water to air intercooler, the inlet and outlet pipes for this unit are 3", where the turbo and inlet holes are 2'5".

Will the system run better using 2'5" then flaring to 3" at the intercooler? Or stepping up to 3" earlier?

P,S thanks for the info on exhaust......one thing I forgot to mention is that I'm running 23-25psi will this effect the dump pipe needs or the above ducting requirements??

You need to input your engine specs (capacity, maximum revs and volumetric efficiency). And then can either use it to get an estimate of the pressure drop and effectiveness of your intercooler, or to design a new one.
