Bravo springs swap and extended shackles issues - Help!!

Post by benhl »

OK finally did the Mazda Bravo springs swap into the lux with snake extended shackles and 2" lift blocks under the springs. And now have a few issues.

The shackles are both on a lean the same way!!! Old ones were straight up and down now they both lean from passenger side at bottom to driver side at top!! WTF!!! :bad-words: The passenger side one is worst. Also the shackles that are supposed to look like a "H" from the back are pulling in at both ends and pinching the top and bottom of the H together...... Need some help, advice or 4 link & Coils

Also the handbrake cable it rubbing on the springs wether you run it above the springs or under them. (94 model lux). How have you guys running lift blocks got round this. Without going for a driveline handbrake.

cant help you with the springs but i made a new clamp for the handbrake cable thats on the chassis that lifts the cable about 40mm or so away from the chassis which stops it rubbing on the spring clamp. It still rubs a little on the u bolt though.

how are the bush's?

if they are new you might have the wrong shackles....the reason they are leaning is there is they are not tightening down enough on the bush.. in other words the shackel is to wide..
