runnin arb leafs fom ute to middy?
does any one know if you can run a set of tray back leafs (which are 2 inches longer) on a middy cruiser? cos i want the lift.... bloke said it wouldnt work but i wanna ask you blokes that inker and play with this kinda stuff...any help would be great

yeah i definatley plan to make em alot softer maybe only run 4 or 5 in the front and the same in the back so why would arb tell me other wise?

It's important to do some maths on these to ensure you don't bend the main leaf. Because the main leaf is longer than standard, you will need to limit the up travel with longer bumpstops, or longer shackles. It is easy to check this, just run it up an RTI ramp or similar to cycle the suspension through the full range of movement. Otherwise when the shackle tops out at full compression the main leaf bends, weakens and eventually breaks clean, usually right near the spring eye. Of course the extra travel is there if you also have matched length long travel shocks.

measure the arc length of the main leaf, then measure back from the centre of the spring hanger back past the shackle hanger and mark the chassis at the arc length of the main leaf, make your shackles the length between that mark and the centre of the shackle hanger and that will give you a starting point to work with...
