hey all

was checkin out my brothers rangie th other day whe i noticed that the shock setup was different on the rear diff compared to my rangie. on the rangies i have had and seen the shocks are placed opposite each other(one at the front of the diff one at the back) is this commen in rangies and what would be better offroad.

dont know much but beleive that 300tdi axles have both shocks mounted forward of the axle

Old =staggered. My 77 and perhaps 81 but cannot remember.
Newer = on front both sides.
Old theory was that staggered helped prevent axle tramp and spring wrap. many old leaf cars had this, but later thinking was that it did nothing, nix, nada,zilch, especially on coil spring car.
