hi,
your sig line says
gotoy is right - if the vehicle does not have a factory LSD (I would be surprised if it didn't already though!), your best option is a locker of some description.
gotoy is wrong - the LSD out od an 80 series will not fit - the light duty 7x series "landcruisers" have an 8" rear differential like a hilux - a hilux LSD will in fact fit although there may be some playing around with carrier bearing sizes.

but there is no 2.5 litre turbodiesel 70 series unless you have fitted another engine - it is either a 2.4 litre 2L-T(E or II) or a 3 litre 1KZ-T(E).1993 Landcruiser 70 2.5 TD

it would be illegal to badge a 2447 as 2.5 litre here.Ravenous Rhino wrote:its a 2447cc in the uk its badged as a 2.5. are the 80 series diffs the same ratio?
80 series diffs are all 4.1:1 ratio, yours are probably 4.556:1 or 4.875:1 - you can check the ratio by reading the 'axle' code off the build plate on the firewall.
