IFS Hilux steering

Post by V6XtraHilux »

Hey Guys,
Dunno if anybody can help but I'd appreciate it.

Problem I got is that Ive got the torsion bars wound up a fair way, at least 50-70mm over standard, but at full lock I get a metal popping sound.

I suspect its the steering joint shown in the picture, the joint is at a really big angle with the rubber boot not really fitting in the gap between the tie rod and the link.

Anybody have any idea how to fix this, and is this the problem?

Im running 33x11.5, but seems to happen also when im running my roadies, 31x10.5.

Thanks.

Ps. Pic is not from my car, just a similar one.
