Body Lift 1990 Vitara

Post by LTDHO »

I have the above vehicle in SWB.
Now from what I have read so far I can go a max of 1 inch on the studs without getting special nuts made. I need 8 spacers.

Now, is the 1" ontop of the rubber mount or including?
Is 8 all I need?
The front two are bolts, will I need longer ones.
All studs are 8mm and the bolts are 10mm.
Can I use alumimum or steel block (not tube) or do I need a softer material?
Please letme know if I'm on the right track. I want to lift body ASAP.

Thanks,
Wayne

I'm also interested to know these things as I'm thinking of helping a mate out with a 1" body lift on his 1996 2.0l and doing the work ourselves.
