Yeah, deep mud doesn't test vehicles or test driver's skill. It's just there to break stuff on the competitors rigs. The crowds love it because the drivers use big numbers to get through the mud.

At the pre-scrutineering, the guys were saying the mud isn't as deep as last year and allows for some off camber lines to avoid the deep bits. Hope this is the case.

Dep mud sucks for spectators too - everyone jsut gets stuck at teh sam spot...the BEST mud is shallow but as slippery as eel snot....THEn people use numbers to try and get through it......THIS is a LOT of fun to drive and cause of the numbers is great for the spectators.....

What do you guys do to stop/slow down the mud into your radiators.

I pressume you fit some sort of screen in front of the radiator

Can someone give me details as I am loooking at protecting the radiator for my truck

is there food and drink available there without having to buy the pre purchase meal ticket. I'm still trying to work out if I can get there. If I don't have to worry about food and drink it makes it a little easier

i have heard from some people who were wheeling there recently that i wont be disapointed with depth.
If it isnt smallest to largest tyres running order then i say bring on the deep.
how does deep mud not test a vehicle?
I was going to suggest some submerged logs, and boulder would have been top work too.
and maybe a pile of logs at the end to form a vertical surface at the end?

and whats wrong with going from shallow mud at the start to real deep at the end? try to sort out the men from boys along the way?

Grimbo I'm leaving from Nth Sydney after work tomorrow if you can get up here I can give you a ride no worries, surely you can get a flight into Sydney? I'm not too sure about food, but I've got plenty of room if you want to buy some on the way. Offers there if you can make it.

well the patrols are both all loaded up and ready to go, just got to run the spare down to the tyre joint in the morning to get it put on a rim and buy some food on the way and im sweet to go......

prob wont get away from here till about 9.00 in the morning i doubt.....
