Chris (giantracing) has had a set of these for a fair while now (got one of the first sets I think) and he is happy with them.
Cheers

Interesting to see how they perform in the mud. Sand is easy.

My MTR's have done about 35,000 and are now crap in the mud. Had to be snatched out twice by an old '60 which had new BFG's. Not good when a '60 gets places my GQ cant....

Will be looking for a new set of tyres soon.

well.... micky t's mt z are on the rubber test truck now  i'm joining the club on return from the north.............

how the micky t's smoke or they still ya babies?

twisty you said they were reasnobly quiet? how they compare noise wise to the kuhmo? currently getting a little rubber groan at certain speeds namely 60 km's//// painful when on car kit...

we can only try these new tyres- ryano you seem to be happy with them so far a bit early but that sort of feedback?

what sort of kms would you hope for on the kuhmos and the micky t's on a patrol?

Haven't smoked up the MTZ's yet......am not too keen to dump the clutch with 35's on....even though I'm sure it'd probably do it......I'll wait till I get the new diff ratios then have a go....

Noise wise, the kumho's were deffintly a little louder.....the kumho's were quiet when I first got them, but got louder as the weared (as most tyres do I guess).....The MTZ's don't have much road noise at all around town, but once at highway speeds they get the usual mud tyre noise.

Morning All.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the Kumho KL71 is now available in Australia in a couple of specialty sizes. More are coming.
38x15.50R18
35x12.50R18

As yet the 285/75R16, 305/70R16 and 315/75R16 haven't arrived, but they are due in a couple of months along with some 37x13.50R20 and 37x13.50R22.

Cheers,
Ryano

Dont look a bad peice of rubber but i suspect milage will be an issue....

currently have 52 000 kms on ryanos MTZ's and going hard. I suspect 80 should pull them up which is not bad at all  best muddy with manners to date for me and they most certainly will be going back on my girl

I've been running theses for about 8 months on my Cherokee in 31x15 and I am really happy with them.

Quiet on road, even ok on wet bitumen, great in the bush, and wearing better than I expected.

I paid just under $200 fitted.

Got a set of KL71 in 33" last friday............ then drove down to Yalwal that evening and gave them a run through mud and over rock all in wet conditions.

I'm happy with how they went especially in in the mud.
Like the sidewalls, felt them working after slipping sideways on a muddy climb out of creek crossing. Got out an had a look and could see the marks in the side of the rut where they had gripped.

I've got them fitted to the rangie in the 31's and find them great. I got them through Fourbys when they first released them, they're a fairly soft compound so grip nicely and also clean well

Hey Bogged, think i've done about 15-20,000km on them, they have 11mm of tread remaining, not sure how many they started with though

Terrain wise, to much road unfortuntely  then SE Qld 4wding, LCMP, Ormeau, Glass House Mountains and sand etc

Still going good for me, I run two sets of tyres (town and play) so they are seeing mostly off road work.

Left em on for a few weeks whilst driving around Sydney, soft compound and very gripy on road for muddys but boy they will wear quick if your constantly running em on the black stuff.
