cruiser e-z pics

Post by vraamm »

Can anyone please help me out with a photo or measurements of a landcruiser e-z locker?

I bought one direct from the US and two reputable workshops here have not been able to get it working. Apparently the problem is that the hole the crosspin goes through is the wrong shape so it can't unlock. I want to check that is the case before freighting it back to the US. Attached is a pic of the parts of mine showing the profile of the hole where the crosspin goes through. it is for a standard cruiser 9.5" ring gear, 30 spline, non-lsd.

Can't say for sure but I put a lock-rite in the front of mine and I'm sure the crosspin holes were a lot rounder than that. I'd send it back.

with the crosspin in the two halves in the pic don't meet. I measured the crosspin diameter at 20.5mm. Does anyone know if this is standard for toyota?

Looks like all the Lokka's ive installed its so they can ramp up and lock easy, Why does it look so bad? because its an extremeky primitive way of locking the centre, but very effective. Sounds like the diff joints ain't ever installed one

are the diff joints checking all the measurements they should when installing?? sometimes (not often that i know of) the thrust washers that go under the part of the locker that the axles go into need to be thinner.
You need to have a c etrain amount of play between the two main loker halves (pictured) otherwise the locker cannot unlock.
Will see if i can find my install instructions to make this clearer.
