Need to lift rear shock mounts...

Make mounts similar to this.

Not hard to make.

Another way is to use a 10 mm plate drill and tap to take existing mount thendrill plate to fit on existing holes in chassy.
Mitsubishi 2010 NT DID Pajero wagon, Factory rear diff lock, Dual batteries, ARB bar, winch, Mt ATZ 4 rib tyres.
1986 RR.
Custom suspension links etc.
HSV 215 engine.

I was going to make a simple plate using 10mm which bolted up to existing holes, then re drill for mount higher up the plate...
Spoke to Rangie Spares about this... apparently they tried this with their new kit but it stuffed the chassis as it placed all sorts of pressure on the rails

I need to lift my mounts about 100mm

couldnt imagine that it would stuff the chassis rails just by lifting the mount. Maybe they didnt have it braced enough and it was pitting pressure on the centre of th chassis instead of the top and bottom edges.

I see if I can get a pic of my buisness partners rangie. He just fab them up ou of plate and mounted of the standard bolts. What he also did was converted the top mount into a normal horizontal flat plate with a hole (same as the rover front upper shock mount). He lifted his as far as he could (almost touching the body) and only runs a 10mm body lift. If you ran say 50mm body lift you should be able to get your 100mm shock mount lift.

I cannot see how it would damage the chassy rails either.
Holes in the chassy are tubed and through bolted.

Fit a 5mm plate to the other side when bolting to spread the load over a greater area.

Here is a pic of my rear disco shock mount's the upper mounts are still the same but the lowers have been gusseted underneath since the pic. I have had no trouble and they perform perfect I made my own dislocation cones as well, did 7500kms birsville track/simson/stoney etc few months ago and they did not fail. the bottom mounts and shocks are seriosly stone damaged but still strait. shot peened :)
