Has anyone had experience with tjm electric winches? I'm looking at buying a second hand 10,000lb electric winch for my patrol.
Thanks

GQII Patrol YAY!!
I run a TJM 10,000Lb in my GQ. Some bars (ARB??) require a winch cradle to attach the winch to. If you know what model bar you have, it'd probably be worth ringing a TJM place.
I have only needed to use it a couple of times, (more to pull my mate's 'yota - you know who you are
) and I don't necessarily go deliberately looking to use it if you know what I mean. When I've needed it, it's been dependable.
Like all lowmount winches, they are subject to being dunked in mud and shite. It you're buying second hand, have a close look. I believe that it pays to get them serviced every now and again.
Cheers

they are a good winch but if you use it alot, seal it up and put a breather in it and you will have many years of trouble free service. If your ARB bar is a factory nissan bar. Then i think a 9500 is the biggest you can fit. If it is a deluxe bar then you can fit it and if its a commercial for a highmount, you have to drill two new holes.
