glas in the sides is harder than you think unless you use a sheet metal firewall - opposed to a ute cab cut (wich i used) there are too many levels and the depth is too great for it to be of any benefit as you cannot see past the pillar into the cavity through the window - over your sholder

Chris has done every configuration possible with Patrols. You'd be supprissed at his prices to compared to other people doing these conversions. Post up the prices again Chris.fatmanjt wrote: thinking of extra cab for new project, but tray rear instead of body, you done one yet?
with side glass in extra cab im thinking of.
Looks very nice Chris. Another top example of your work. Well done.

Yeah they definately look pretty neat, I have seen some seriously bodgy jobs around. I was rapt with the finish of mine, finished all the interior myself how I wanted it, a couple of mates have since done the same. We had them done for less than a quarter of what some conversion places wanted. From your last pricings I saw they seem good value.
Next question we have a shortie which we want to chop, rear quarters are rooted, so dont just want to cut roof off rear. Any ideas how you would fill in back as wheel arch is so far forward.

hey, im choppin a shorty at the moment, and depending on what finish your after, depends on how you go about it,
i went with a flat wall, and just used panel settl and braced it, and welded her up,
or you could get stuck right in, and move the very back section up so you have rounded edges, rear roof gutter, and all that, deopends on how much work your willing to put into it,

Ive been over Cris's ute pretty close in person, and the workmanship is very good. The pumped guards look awesome, and the tray is smick as, i thought the semi false floor was cool, a nice and neat place to store jacks and spares etc .
