I started reading a book lately called "Off the Road-Brock, around Australia with Peter Brock"
It's his account of his first off road race, the 1998 Playstation Rally Round Australia. Believe it or not he didn't know he had to lock the manual front hubs in when he put the little lever in 4H, nor did his navigator until they were a quarter way round the continent . They still came second out of a huge field in a stock standard 3.5V6 Jackaroo. Bruce Garland was the winner in a very modified V6 jack. It's a good indication that V6 jacks are very capable tourers, even at 160kph!

true priced a couple of 4x4n utes, hilux turbo'd ute $5000.00,was unaware brock raced in a rally, apart from the tassie targa in the commo ute, its interesting to know that even a great driver like brock still doesnt know all there is, better to know it was a jackaroo, there an underestimated 4x4, they dont get much of a go in the scene.
