ok, if you have to sets of coils (rears) both the SAME spring rate, say 300lbs. if one set has a free length of 16 inches and the other has a free length of 17.5, will they feel the same when road driving, ie will the longer ones feel softer????
does any one have a lb/in rate/value for an inflated polyair
ie would it make a 220lb spring a 250lb spring when inflated
cheers, serg

They will feel the same. The spring rate measurement is independant of the free length. The longer spring though of course will sit a bit higher.
