cracked head..

i guess i hav a cracked head it used 1.5l of water driving along a 30km beach. if it is cracked where is the best place in perth to get a quality reco head. and is it worth it if the engine has done 180 000 km.

i pulled it part today and it was just a stuffed gasget so might just face it on our mill and put a new gasget in. should be all good hope fully

while i got the head off should i do anything to or is it not really worth porting in the exhaust?

i had to take my head off the other day so i decided to get it recon. paid $180 and the fella cleaned it up and did the valves.

may as well get it done whilst its off.

Yeah, deffinatley get a crack test, and if its okay then get it serviced. You can crack a head and do a gasket too. No point pulling it off and not fixing it properly while its off.
