Hi im want to fit a weber to my 1985 4g54 2.6 swb Pajero has anyone fitted one or anyone know anything ????????????????????

Hi Youngy,
Fitting a Weber is definitely an improvement over the stock carburator. You must select the right type. Have in mind that the stock carby is modified from the factory for off road use - that means that when you try to climb somewhere it does not runs out of fuel easily. With Weber i believe it's not the same. A friend had the weber but although he was satisfied with performance he had the above problem. I'm going to fit an EFI next week (not Magna etc) and if everything is ok i'll give you some details in case you 're interested. I think that if your engine is in good condition this the best option.

There's a thread in the Suzuki forum discussing pros and cons of Webers on Sierras. They also discuss the modifications required to make them perform better offroad.

i fitted the webber and a electric fuel pump went for a play in the bush up some steep hills didn't have a prop at all , the webber was a good move yes im interested in a EFI , im looking for a turbo for it aswell i have a spare motor that im doing up for comps , i may need a little help ?????????

ok, when i finish the EFI mod i 'll send you the details. It's an easy one but the mechanic must know what his doing... A close friend that gave the idea (-he is in fact a real guru on performance mods) told me that apart from the benefits in fuel consuption i 'll have some extra horses because of the shape of the intake manifold of my paj... (we are not going to change it)

thanks send the info to hayden.youngman@hotmail.com please thats good news the webber is going great took it bush on sunday and had heaps of fun little bit more power then the standard carb and uses less fuel now , looking for a gas hat for a 34/36 DGV Down Draft webber so i can run LPG a bit cheaper.
