hi, can some please tell me if the rear suspension on a '97 bodyshape Paj is 3,4 or 5 link?

Physically it has 3 links, but because it has 2 bolts to the diff on each side it works as a 5 link according to tech gurus

This completely destroys my understanding of what constitutes a 5 link. Either that, or your tech gurus aren't that good. :P

I'd say it's a basic 3 link, with some inherent limitations for articulation.

Anybody else?

Its a 3 link. Cruisers & patrols have 5 link.

Bush65 from the Rover forum posted an excellent explanation of it as a 5 link some time back in a suspension post

I don't care what they call it... lol.

It is a trailing arm suspension with a panhard rod.

It may act like a 5 link since the trailing arms connect on two spots on the axle tubes, and are equal length, but that isn't what it is. :P

It's a radius arm 3 link, same as the front setup on nissans and cruisers.
