Mickey Thompson wear rate

Is anyone here running M.T. Radial Claws, if so, what kind of wear do you get out of them.
I'm tossing up between these and ProComp XTerrains, i'd prefer the Claws as I had Maxxis Mudzilla's on my last beast and couldn't fault them (except downhill in mud). I can't make enough room for 13.5" of width, so have to go for the radial version.
I'm open to any suggestions, size of either would be 305/70r16.

Wear rates are relative to load, driving style, vehicle type, amount of offroad time, pressures etc.

Most people with a 305/70R16 on a larger vehicle with moderate loads will get 60-70,000kms out of the Radial Claws. They will acheive better mileage and more even wear with regular rotations and a Wheel Alignment check every 10,000kms. Reason for this is with this type of tyre people are playing offroad a little bit harder which tends to give the front end a bit more of a hard time.

I doubt i will get 45-50 out of mine...

But i have done a good bit of offroad in mine (never really been able to make em spin tho), and they are under a heavy arse GU (33's)...
if your mate hasnt done any offroad and is unhappy with wear he probably shouldnt have bought a tyre designed for 90% mud 10% road/sand for 100% road use..

That being said, for offroad use im sold. I wont go past them. They never cease to amaze me traction wise off road.(pretty good on road too)

What size? What pressure? What sort of wear on the tyre (even or choppy)? How hard does he drive it?

We've got Claws on our Wrangler. 33's did around 25,000 and came off with about 70% tread left. Did have a bit of a hard life. 35's have been on for around 15,000kms now and are good for about another 80,000kms.

Then why on earth would you waste large on Claws if you never go offroad when theres a squillion tires out there that would do him better.?

I run 315x75x16 Radial Claws an so far have got 55000 out of them an still have 8mm left on them.

I run them on a GU Wagon 40psi all round an my freind has the same too.

on my 80s im on my second set of claws after getting about 30-40k out of the first set running them at about 36/-38psi. i drove them hard on and off, never had a puncture and stuck like sh!t to a blanket in all conditions on and off road.

on my current set (2nd) i run 40psi in a vauge attemt to preserve some sort of tyre edge life but drive no different. as far as im concerned if i only get the same ks next time im sure id get them a third time unless something else comes out that look worth it.

having said that my mate in a near identical truck had the same tyres and got 78k out of them, he also got a second set not long ago.

50,000km is fair enough for a tyre like that, I do about 60/40 on road/ off, couldn't be bothered swapping sets and would prefer less comfort on road to less traction off it.
Anyone know where the cheapest place to purchase would bein Sydney or Central West, only place iv'e seen prices is on the ABT site, but thier ProComp prices are really high, so i'd assume the Mickey's are too, no idea what the RRP is for that size.

PS. you see heaps of wankers round brighton area with jeeps with claws that have less than 0 chance of ever seeing a dirty carpark let along dirt tracks
