4.5 Fuel Coosumption
4.5 Fuel Coosumption
Just wondering what fuel consumption could be expected from this motor in city driving conditions?

Well, that's 90 litres for 625 klms in total. So to find out how many litres per hundred, divide the 90 by 6.25 (because you did 6.25 hundred).muduppig wrote:i dont know how you do that k per litre but we get 625ks out of the 90litre main tank with an auto driven the way we want
That gives 14.4 litres per hundred klms! I'm guessing you don't drive a 4.5 GU petrol Patrol, becuase if you did that would be a world record.
Oh, and to answer the original question - as said in the first response, expect 20-25 per hundred.

i used to get 22lt per hndred around town when the car was stock. and 17lt per hundred on the highway.
now with the lift and 35s it seems to be slightly better.
i still havnt gone through a whole tank so i cant give any figures with the lift and tyres but im guessing maybe 15-16 on the highway and around 20 for around town.
and i do have a heavy foot.
also i think the snorkel may have helped a bit as most of the driving i did on the weekend was up in the mountains and the air was quite cold.
