60 crossover

Post by chunderlicious »

ive searched and turned up nothing so here goes;

Is it possibly to do a crossover steer conversion on a 60?
does any one make the kit for a 60?

this isnt actually going into a 60 bt it is using the diffs and its close enough as it fits straight in. ive thought about high steer but 1250 bucks is a little beyond what i want to spend atm.

You should be able to build or buy a flipped arm style, similar to the luxy style often used when going cross over. Not totally sure, but someone will make something, as heaps of 60's are sprung over.

Yeah, just buy a double arm, or make or have a double flipped arm made for you.

will the hilux arm fit??? ive got a mate withthat setup, i also noticed he had to change to an IFS steering box with a modified pitman arm... is this neccesary? or can i just leave the standard daihatsu steering box where it is as it doesnt foul on anything atm and looks like it shouldnt hit the diff on full compression.

Yes the hilux arm will fit, and you will be able to use your diahatsu steering box.
