Hi All,
I have an SD33 and want to put a turbo set-up from the SD33T, I have all factory parts excluding the diesel pump. I have checked out different threads and posts, but none go into to much detail, I have seen the conversion done successfully with a couple of international guy's but no mention of what pump, if any, mods were done. I have been told that the SD33 inline pump regulates via Manifold/atmospheric pressure ??
Is this so, and if so how do I plumb it for the Boost side of things?
Pictures and explanation would be huge help.
I am on a budget so If could avoid paying someone to do it would like to, if I have to pay someone I would like to have as much done to save $$$

SD33 turbo tune
first of all are you using the mz type pump with the 2 air/vacum lines going to the throttle housing and what was the filter before the throttle housing??
if you are then leave the line going to the throttle housing as is and make sure the other line sees atmospheric pressure as it did before..the pump then will take into account boost it sees at the throttle housing and will fuel accordingly..
to reduce power either control boost OR supply a varying amount of boost(more boost LESS power)to the other line(that originally sees atmosheric pressure...)
the electricery bits just control the boost the pump sees via solenoid..ie high low..
simple and boy does it work!!

from my understanding of your reply, the two vacum lines from the pump remain as standard with a valve in one to alter the air flow, just link them together and have an electric soliniod to control air flow from one into the other?

If so then if I don't want the ability to "turn it on or off" can i leave it as is?

no..leave them as original..for max power make sure the one that went airfilter side of throttle housing sees NO boost.ie have it open to air(but filtered)
the one that goes to throttle housing will see the boost and alter the diaphram (in pump)which moves the fueling rack.it will altermatically adjust the fuel CORRECTLY when on boost.(and off).not sure how much boost it will reliably work to,but mine works just fine up to 8-10psi(when bov pops)
