I'd like to know ( not neccessarily with indepth detail ) the difference between a 1HZ (stock N/A diesel motor as found in 80 series etc), as opposed to the 'Multi Point Injected' (stock N/A diesel motor as found in my new 105 series)?
If anyone knows what the so called differences are between these two motors, please feel free to contribute. I'd really like to know.

Both engines are "multi point injected", just that the marketing dept. has caught on to something they think sounds good.
The 100 series 1HZ version is slightly different in the combustion area (injectors, pistons, pre-combution chamber shape) to bring peak power 200rpm lower and peak torque 200rpm higher, and help it comply with the newer emission laws applicable.
The timing belt and tensioner also changed to the hydraulic version ala 1HD-FT.
The later version is regarded to not like turbocharging as much as the previous version.
