i was driving along the other day and went to turn into a carpark, and noticed a reflection on the car beside me of my car with the headlights on. i looked at the switch, and that was in the off position. so i turned the switch on and off and they went off...
i thought nothing of it. (apart from the thought that i was going crazy)
then today i got hom, parked in the drive way as i do, came inside, and my bro comes down stairs, and says " why are you lights on?" and i said what.... went out side, hi beam as on but all switches said off...
why is this happening?
also most of the time when i turn my headlights on my dash lights do not turn on. i have to flick the switches around then they will come on... or i drive anyway and they turn on halfway down the road. (i thought this was related to the tach i had out in... but after taking that out it still does it.

headlights turning on.

headlights stayin on
i think from memory it will be in you switch on the colom if its like most nissans they run a conact setup which causes the lights to stay on if they burn or make dodgy contact
thats my guess or it could be a relay stayin on but id be keen on the switch being faulty
hope that helps with a bit of direction
