the heat blanket I meant is like a blanket version of the tape - its woven fibreglass on one side and thick aluminium foil on the other. I wired it onto my extractors after I gave up on tape.
Would be easy to just wrap over the box with a strap - would not have to be a perfect fit.

the stuff i have has no foil on one side.... i tried to get my hands on some of that when i insulated the intercooler pipes on the Rodeo....couldn't track any down that was reasonably priced.
